Born on August 5, 2019, alongside her twin brother Alexander, and adored by her older brother Lincoln, Hope has been a beacon of strength from the very beginning. Even before she arrived, Hope faced significant challenges, fighting to be part of our world. Much of this fight has been due to her diagnosis of Down syndrome. Her middle name, Louise, meaning “warrior,” truly reflects her resilient spirit.

Hope’s journey began with complications during pregnancy, which affected her blood flow. Born 8 weeks premature at just 1.2 kg, she spent 10 weeks in NICU and special care before coming home. At just 3 months old, Hope underwent heart surgery and had 88 specialist appointments in her first year alone. Despite these trials, Hope has shown us she is a survivor and has continued to thrive. But her fight continues. Her diagnosis means Hope has to work a lot harder than her brothers to learn to do even the simplest of things, like walk and talk. As her parents, Ben and Heidi, we are committed to giving Hope every opportunity for a full and exciting life.
